The school, which has opened on the site of Finberry Primary School before it’s move to temporary accommodation in Jemmett Road is led by Headteacher Lisa Flack who was delighted to welcome the new children and parents.
Mrs Flack said “I feel extremely privileged to be in the exciting position of leading our brand new school as we grow and develop on our journey to excellence. At Chilmington Green Primary, we believe that children deserve the very best possible learning environment and we are very fortunate to have a talented, enthusiastic and dedicated staff team who are deeply committed to inspiring learning that is creative and successful.”
The school will move into its new state of the art site on the Chilmington Green Development once building works have been completed and will be a non-selective, non-denominational, two form entry primary free school and nursery. It will also include a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for up to 14 pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for Autistic Spectrum Disorder. At full capacity, 420 primary pupils will attend the purpose built school with access to state of the art facilities right in the heart of the new Chilmington Green community.
Having opened with a Reception class and mixed Y1/2 and 3/4 classes, the school is expected to grow in pupil numbers rapidly. Please visit the school’s website www.chilmingtongreen.kent.sch.uk or email firstname.lastname@example.org for information on how to apply for a place.
