The sessions support both parents and children with the September 2019 transition to primary school. By attending the sessions, parents and children will become familiar with the school setting. They will also build new friendships and increase their understanding of school life.
Rising 4’s will be held at Hersden Village Primary School, every Wednesday afternoon at 2.30pm until 3pm. There is no need to book and younger siblings are welcome to join. All are welcome to attend regardless of September choice.
Please contact the school on 01227 710414 or visit www.hersden.kent.sch.uk for more information.
Headteacher Mrs Acors said,
“We have been running our Rising 4’s sessions here at Hersden for a few years now and are always impressed by the attendance. The children love the stories read by our teachers and the parents get a sense of what life in a reception class is like for their child”.
